6 month appointment!!

Today Joel had his 6 month appointment. The doctor said that he is doing great!!

Height 27 inches - 75%
Weight 17lbs 9 oz - 50%
Head 43 1/4 - 25-50%

He got 3 shots today and tomorrow we are going to go get the H1N1 shots.

The doctor said that he is developmentally closer to 9 months. He said that we could start feeding him more people food/finger foods such as bananas, teething biscuits, mixed veggies and mashed potatoes. He also said that we could start meats with him. He told me that we should start feeding him 3 servings of fruits, 3 servings of veggies and 1-2 servings of meat a day. We are going to move up to level 2 baby foods on Monday.

Things Joel is doing now: sitting up on his own, grabbing at everything, sucking his thumb, rolling all over the place, reaching out for the dogs, reaching out for us to pick him up, throwing his toys on the floor, putting everything in his mouth.

Our boy is getting so big!!

Children's Museum

Grandma and Grandpa Kaprove came and visited this weekend so we all headed to the Children's Museum on Saturday. We had a great time seeing all of the different rooms. We can't wait til Joel gets a little bit older so that he can interact with more of the attractions but there were still things that he can do at his age though.

Growing

Joel is really growing a lot lately and he has actually starting to use some big boy things.

We have introduced a sippy cup.

We transitioned him to a big boy carseat.

We got him a big boy bath seat so he can sit up in the bathtub.
