Fall Fun

On Saturday Matt, Joel, Bethanie and I went to the hospital for their Fall Pumpkin Festival. Joel had fun and so did Bethanie. We got to see the life line helicopter land. Joel also got to pet a lama and a bunny. He also picked out a pumpkin to take home.

Then on Sunday we all went to the Pumpkin patch at Stoney Creek Farms. We took a hay ride to the pumpkin patch where Joel picked out a pumpkin for Bethanie. Then we walked on the mound of hay and Joel rode the pumpkin train. Fun was had by all. Here are some pictures of our adventures.

2 week appointment

Bethanie had her 2 week appointment and everything went pretty well. She weighs 6 lbs 2 oz. and is still 19 inches long. She didn't gain any weight in the last week and hasn't grown since she was born. The doctor wants us to come back again next week for a weight check but he isn't worried about her weight. She isn't dehydrated which would be a sign that she isn't getting enough to eat. So we will return next week and see what the doctor has to say from that point.

As some of you may now on Monday August 15th we were induced at 39 weeks because of the fact that Joel got stuck that didn't want this baby to get stuck. The induction went really well. I started at 3 cms at 6 am when they started the Pitocin. At 11:30 I got an epidural at which point I was 4-5 centimeters. At 1:00 I was 6 cms. At 1:45 I was 9 cms and 15 minutes later I was completely dialated. After 4 pushes Bethanie was born. Here are some pictures for you all to enjoy.

2 year appointment

Just got back from Joel's 2 year appointment and he is growing great. He is 29 lbs 6 oz and 34 7/8 inches tall. He is in the 50-75 percentile for each. We have gotten the all clear to down grade from whole milk to 1-2% which is great.
